Today is Day 4 of Christmas in July and I am featuring the new Kraft Pillow Boxes. These pillow boxes will hold a gift card, candy treats or even a small gift. I created this one for Christmas using a few different Christmas items from the annual Stampin' Up! catalog. These boxes can be decorated now and popped open to fill up with your gifts when you get ready to use them this holiday season.
Santa Tip of the Day: Did you know that you can find out where Santa is any time throughout the year by visiting TrackingSanta.net? Personally, I think it's good to know where Santa is at all times.
Here are the products I used to create my pillow box:
- Snowflake Sentiments stamp set (item #144820)
- Kraft Pillow Boxes (item #147018)
- 1/4" double stitched ribbon (item #144117)
- Stitched framelits (item #145372)
- Pretty Pines Thinlits (item #141851)
- Gold glimmer paper (146958)
- Old Olive Cardstock (item #100702)
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock (item #146981)
- Cherry Cobbler cardstock (item #119685)
- Cookie Cutter Builder (item 140396)
How I created the project:
- Assemble the pillow box and wrap the double stitched ribbon around the box. Tie a box on one end.
- Cut a variety of the greenery pieces using the Pretty Pines Thinlits using gold, old olive and shaded spruce cardstock.
- Cut a large oval from whisper white cardstock using the stitched framelit oval.
- Stamp the greeting onto the oval using the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and Cherry Cobbler ink
- Attach this piece to the front of the pillow box using dimensionals.
- Using liquid glue, attach the greenery pieces to the front of the box, fitting the pieces underneath the oval greeting.
- Punch 2 small circles from cherry cobbler cardstock, using a small circle punch or by using the circle in the cookie cutter builder punch. Attach to the front of the card as shown.
