Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards Ideas - March

Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin?  It's a fun craft kit that is delivered right to your mailbox each month.  The kit includes everything you need including glue dots, ink, stamps, embellishments, paper products and instructions.  The images above are from the March kit,  and this month I had so much fun creating the cards as Stampin' Up! intended, but I also created a few alternate card ideas too.  The last card, with the girl in the rainboots, holds a fun surprise gift inside.

Here are the measurements for the cards I created in the video:

Card #1 (So Saffron)
Cut So Saffron card base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Cut the envelope open and cut the designer paper inside to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". 

For this card I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies (I used the largest rectangle)

Card #2 (grapefruit grove)
Cut the Grapefruit Grove cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Cut the envelope or designer series paper to 3 1/2" x  4 3/4". 

I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to create the tag for the front of the card.

Card #3
This card was created using a card base from the kit.  I stamped the boots and fussy cut them to attach to the front of the card. 

Card #4 (Calypso Coral)
Cut the Calpyso Coral cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11 and score at 5 1/2". 
The image with the girl in boots and an umbrella came from the kit and is cut to  4 1/4" x 3 1/2)

I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies and the Stitched Rectangles dies to create the granny apple green rectangle and the greeting rectangle.

Creating with Foil Designer Series Paper

Hello Stamping Friends.

This past week has brought us a whirlwind of changes.  I hope that you all are doing well and staying safe. Our families are adjusting to not seeing each other as often as we use to, and staying home instead of going out. We are also in the middle of remodeling our living room, bathroom and bedroom, so hopefully this will keep us busy during this time.

So Sentimental Bundle (item #153828)

I'm not sure which product to tell you about first.  I LOVE both of these items.  The Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper is so much more beautiful than any picture could ever make it.  This paper features rose gold foil and silver foil paper.  You can leave the paper just as it is to create beautiful cards, or add color with blender pens, watercolor or sponge daubers.  The So Sentimental Bundle creates beautiful scalloped, stitched cutouts that make layering so easy.  And the sentiments fit perfectly inside of the dies. 

Here's How I created today's card:

• Cut a coastal cabana card base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/2"
• Cut a piece of Flowering Foils Specialty Designer paper to 4" x 5 1/4"
• Use sponge daubers and Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue inks to sponge color onto the designer paper.  Attach this piece to the front of your card base
• Cut the piece behind the greeting die using Coastal Cabana cardstock
• Wrap white ribbon around the Coastal Cabana piece and tie a bow
• stamp the Thank You image onto whisper white cardstock and cut with the coordinating die
• Attach the greeting piece onto the Coastal Cabana piece with dimensionals
• Attach this piece to the front of the card as shown

Stampin' Up! Happy Easter and a Cute Baby Card idea

Happy Monday stamping friends.  Today I have a really cute baby card to show you that I created using the stamp set Welcome Easter.  This set is good for so much more than Easter.

Before I show you how I created this card, I wanted to remind you about my Welcome Easter Class to Go.  This class will be offered as  a To Go option until March 17th.  If you have never taken a to go class from me before, here's how it works.

All of the baby I cards I created in today's cards, using the Welcome Easter stamp set, were made with the same size pieces, just laid out in 4 designs.  I wanted to show you that even if you don't like one design, you can just move the pieces around a little and get something that suits you better. 

Here's how I made today's cards:

• Card base cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Whisper white card front cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
• Designer Series Paper cut to 3" x 4 1/2"
• Whisper White cut to 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" (this is the piece the sheep is stamped on)
• 2" whisper white circle
• Cardstock that coordinates with each card  punched with the starburst punch and attached behind the 2" circle.
