Are you going to miss out on free?

Sale-a-Bration is almost over

March 31st will mark the end of Stampin' Up! Sale-a- Bration 2018. There are so many AWESOME free items to choose from.    Did you get all of the free items that you wished for?  There's still time.  In fact, you have just 5 days left.

I thought that this week I would highlight some of my favorite Sale-a- Bration and Occasions products.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Today's post features Waterfront from the Occasions catalog.  This stamp set was inspired by million dollar sales achiever, Connie Heisey.  You really can't make a mistake when stamping with this set.  I started by creating the mountain scene.  I created the mountains, then the water and dirt, followed by the trees.  The card came together quickly and beautifully.  I can't wait to mail it to someone special.
For this card I used smoky slate, crumb cake, tranquil tide, dapper denim, old olive and pool party.

The second card I created using this set is a beachy theme.   I really like that this stamp set can create two totally different styles of cards. When I started creating these cards, I had a general idea what I wanted to do and I just started stamping.  You really CANNOT make a mistake.    Now that's my kind of stamping.

Waterfront Stamp Set Item # 146386
Bermuda Bay card base, Bubbles & Fizz designer paper FREE
ink colors:  bermuda bay, early espresso, pool party, crumb cake, wild wasabi, real red, crushed curry

I hope that you have enjoyed these cards using the Waterfront stamp set.  If you need supplies for this, or any other project, please visit my store by clicking HERE.  Don't forget that you have just 5 days left to choose a free item of your choice with every $50.00 order.   Please use HOSTESS code WQSZA6SD at checkout to receive a free gift of 5 beautiful handmade cards from me.

Sending you a little Stampin' Up! Love

Today I am sharing another card made with the Sale-a-Bration Springtime Foils Specialty Paper.  This specialty paper makes it so easy to create beautiful cards.  And sparkly ones, too!!!   I think this would make a great anniversary or wedding card, don't you?

Here's what I used to create my card:

  • Whisper white cardstock cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Whisper White cardstock cut to 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Polka Dot Basics Embossing folder (item #143709)

  • Sunshine Wishes Thinlits (item #141489)
  • Beautiful Bouquet stamp set (item #143666)
  • Bouquet Bunch framelits (item #143659)
  • Delicate White Doilie (item #141701)
  • Silver Foil sheets (item #132178)
  • pearl basic jewels (item #144219)
  • Assorted ink (I used flirty flamingo, berry burst and calypso coral)

Here's how I created my card:

  • Fold the card base in half and burnish using a bone folder
  • Place the whisper white cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" into the polka dot embossing folder and run through the big shot
  • Attach the embossed piece to the front of the card base
  • Cut a delicate white doilie into 4 pieces and attach 1/4 to the back of the foil paper as shown
  • Attach the 5 1/4" x 2" piece of specialty foil paper to the front of the card as shown
  • Cut the word "Love" using a silver foil sheet and the sunshine wishes thinlit.  Attach this piece to the front of the foil paper using tombo multipurpose adhesive.
  • Stamp the flower images from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set onto whisper white cardstock and cut out using the coordinating bouquet bunch framelits.
  • cut a stem using a green cardstock of your choice
  • Attach the stem first using multipurpose adhesive and then add the flowers in the pattern you choose.
  • Add basic pearls to the center of the flowers as needed

Stampin' Up! Flying Home

Spring is almost here.  For those of you recently hit by the big snow storm, I know you're probably thinking that spring cannot get here any too soon.  I'm thinking if we make enough spring cards and projects, maybe Mother Nature will take the hint and send spring our way.

Spring is one of my favorite times of the year.  I like being able to open the windows to get fresh air into the house after a long winter of being cooped up.  I like spring cleaning, the sun shining, thunderstorms,  spring flower bulbs blooming and the sound of the birds chirping.  Somehow it feels more like a spring renewal for my soul than a season.

Flying Home Stamp Set Item #145929

The card I created to show you today is called a Gate Fold.  It's a fun fold that adds a unique feel to a card.  It uses the same 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base, however, it is scored a little differently.

Here's what I used to create my card:

  • 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Lemon Lime Twist card base scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" and burnished with a bone folder
  • Bubbles and Fizz designer Paper (FREEE with a $50.00 order during Sale-a-Bration)
  • Layering Circles Framelits (item #141705)
  • Stitched Shapes Framelits (item #145372)
  • Classic Label Punch (item #141491)
  • Black Memento Ink (item #132708)
  • Silver Bakers Twine (item #145569)
  • Stampin' Blends Markers in Pool Party, daffodil delight, old olive light, calypso coral light and pink pirouette light
  • Tutti Frutti Adhesive Baked Sequins (item #145609)
  • Bermuda bay cardstock large enough to cut scalloped circle
  • Flying Home Stamp Set (item #145929)

Here's how I created my card:

  • Score lemon lime card base at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" on the long edge.  Fold in and burnish using a bone folder.
  • Cut designer paper to 1 7/8" x 5 3/8".  Cut two pieces and place on the front of your card front.
  • Cut a circle using whisper white cardstock, from the stitched circle framelits (use the largest circle)
  • Cut a scalloped circle using Bermuda Bay cardstock, from the Layering Circle Framelits (use the largest scalloped circle)
  • Stamp the birdhouse image onto the whisper white circle using memento ink.  Color with stampin' blends markers.  Attach this piece to the front the of Bermuda Bay Scalloped circle.
  • This stamp set does not have sentiments.  I used the sentiment "thank you" from another set.  Stamp using Bermuda Bay ink and punch out using the Classic Label Punch..  Attach this piece to the bottom right corner of the card using dimensionals.
  • Place adhesive on 1/2 of the back of the scalloped bermuda bay circle.  (the left side ONLY.  As you are putting adhesive on the back, this will be your right)  Attach this piece to the front of the left side of your card as shown in the picture above.
  • Wrap a piece of the silver bakers twine around your card two times and tie a bow.
NOTE:  You could make this a birthday, thank you, thinking of you or whatever greeting you would like as long as the greeting fits onto the flap on the right side.

Now, write a note inside, sign your name, and send it off to someone who is not expecting a card from you, but you know they would be so excited to receive a card in the mail.   That's call a Random Act of Kindness, and it feels so good to make someone's day.  Who's day will you make today?

I hope that your Monday is beautiful and that I have helped to brighten the beginning of your week.

Happy Stamping,

Debbie

Stampin' Up! We Must Celebrate

Happy Friday!!!  I thought this would be an appropriate post for a Friday.  Are you celebrating anything this weekend?  I'm celebrating that I am spending a long weekend in Michigan with my kids.   It won't be long and I will be living back in Michigan permanently.

Isn't this stamp set the cutest?  Today I'm posting an image of the whole set for you to see just how versatile this set is.  I think this set is great for so many occasions, and I especially like that there are so many group sentiments.  Great for cards you might need to give out at work or from a group of friends.   You can use these critters all together, as I have done today, but did you know that you can also use just one of them?  Here are a few options for using them individually:

  • Stamp the whole image and cut each of the critters out.  Add where needed on your card.
  • Place a sticky note over the part of the  image you don't want to use, ink up the stamp, remove the sticky note and stamp onto your cardstock.
  • And lastly, and don't gasp, but you can actually cut your stamp set into 4 pieces.  I would recommend a xacto knife as the best way to be able to see exactly where you are cutting.

Here's what I used to create my card:

  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4"
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 3" x 3 3/4"
  • whisper White cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
  • We Must Celebrate Stamp set (item #145895)
  • Simple Stripes embossing folder (item #145648)
  • Whisper White Bakers Twine (item #124262)
  • Stampin' Blends Markers in bronze (item #144607), Smoky Slate Light (item #145054), Crumb Cake light (item #144582), Pool Party light (item #144595), Calypso Coral light (item #144042), Old Olive light (item #144574), Pink Pirouette dark (item #144592) Daffodil delight (item #144586), Pumpkin Pie Light (item #144578)
  • Memento black ink (item #132708)

Here's how I created my card:

  • Fold card base in half and burnish with a bone folder to get a good crease.
  • Stamp the mushroom and snail image onto the bottom edge of the 4" x 5 1/4" whisper white cardstock piece using Memento black ink .  Color images  using Stampin' Blends markers. Attach this piece to the front of your card base.
  • Place the 3" x 3 3/4" piece of lemon lime twist cardstock into the simple stripes embossing folder and run through the big shot.  Open the embossing folder and turn the  embossed cardstock 90 degrees.  Run this piece through the Big Shot again.  This will create the square pattern.   Attach this piece to the top of the whisper white cardstock as shown in the image above.
  • Stamp the 4 critter friends onto the piece of 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" whisper white cardstock. Stamp the sentiment onto the upper left corner.  Color using the Stampin' Blends markers.  I used bronze for the body of the bear and the belly of the squirrel. I used crumb cake for the belly of the bear and body of the squirrel.  Smoky slate was used for the raccoon.
  • Once colored, attach this piece to the center of your card as shown.
  • Wrap the Whisper White bakers twine around the top of your card twice and tie a bow.
NOTE:   Please remember when you are coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers, they WILL bleed through your paper.  Make sure you have a piece of scrap paper underneath your image and color BEFORE attaching to your card.

I hope that you love this project today as much as I do.   If you need supplies for this, or any other project, I hope that you will visit my store today.  You can visit by clicking HERE.  Please use HOSTESS code ZE4SHYW7 at checkout and I will mail you 5 beautiful handmade cards as a gift from me with your $50.00 purchase.

Have you seen the Springtime foils Specialty Designer Paper?  This paper is free with a $50.00 order during Sale-a-Bration.  The image above just doesn't do this paper justice and it's very difficult to get a great image.  So I thought I would share a project I made today using this paper.  To add color, you can use Stampin' Blends markers, a dauber and ink, watercolor pencils or regular markers.  The foil colors are gold, silver and copper.  They are absolutely beautiful.
