Stampin' Up! DistINKtive Stamps

These stamps are DistINKtively Different

Have you noticed in the new catalog that some of our stamps are marked as Dist INK tive?  Have you wondered what that means?  Well, I'm going to tell you.  The stamp designs begin with a real image, such as a bouquet of flowers.  The design is then turned into a photo realistic style stamp.    The stamp set, Healing Hugs, is one of these dist INK tive stamp sets and you're going to love it.

Today I am sharing with you a link to a Stampin' Up! video featuring the all new Healing Hugs Set.  Just click on the link below and prepare to be amazed.

In the past, customers and demonstrators have asked Stampin' Up! for a "get well" stamp set and guess what?  They granted our wishes.  This set is totally dedicated to sending well wishes to anyone who is feeling down.   Over the next few weeks I will be sharing card samples using this stamp set, and more.  I hope you will stop back to see what I have been making.

If you need supplies for any of your crafting projects, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my store by clicking HERE.  Don't forget to use hostess code ZREJ3GNB at checkout to receive a special gift from me when your order reaches $50.00 or more.

Sharing some card ideas from the new catalog

As I mentioned yesterday, when a new Stampin' Up! catalog comes out, demonstrators are working hard to create samples from the new catalog to share with their customers.   This can be a very time consuming task, so oftentimes, we turn to other demonstrators to share our card ideas with them, and in turn, they share with us.  On my weekend to Vero Beach, my friend Frances was kind enough to share several of her swap cards with us, and I would like to share a few of them with you today.

There's Something in The Water

The brand new Stampin' Up! Sea of Textures stamp set is part of the Tranquil Textures Suite in the new annual catalog.  And it's FABULOUS!!!!  There is a stamp set, framelets, designer series paper, ribbon and sprinkles for making window cards.   This suite really comes with everything you need to create beautiful cards.

Here's a look at a few of the items:

Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper Item #146331
Tranquil  Textures Sprinkles Item #146337

Sea of Textures Bundle Item #148358

When a new catalog comes out, sometimes Demonstrators like to exchange cards amongst each other so that we can show a better variety of each of the items.  My friend, Candy Ford,  from StampCandy.com created a few cards using the bundle.  Aren't these cards gorgeous?  I really like texture on a card and just look at all of the different layers of color, along with the octopus and net that has been cut out with the framelits.  I think Candy did a wonderful job showing off this bundle. Don't you?

If you need supplies for this, or any other project, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my store by clicking HERE.  Please use hostess code ZREJ3GNB at checkout for a special gift from me with your order of $50.00 or more in June.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow when I will be sharing some special swaps my friend Frances received to celebrate the new annual catalog.

Happy Stamping,

Debbie

Stampin' Up! 6x6 Designer Paper Stacks

Introducing the all new Designer Series Paper Stacks

Do you like to create using designer papers, but don't know quite how to use them?  Or have you ever created a card that just needs a little something but you don't have it?  Check out the brand new 6x6 Designer Series Paper Stacks from Stampin' Up! These paper stacks are perfect for adding a touch of texture to your cards.  And the best part is there is a stack for each of the color selections.

In case you didn't know, the brights collection is my very, very favorite.  It just has all of the colors that invite me to create with them.  Each stack has 2 each of 2 double sided designs in 10 colors. The brights collection will  include Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.   Each collection will include 2 of each design except for the in colors, which will have 4 of each color.  You get 40 6x6 sheets in each stack.

Here are a few examples I created using the new In Colors (Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove).  I like how I can mix up the designs or use them alone.  You can use just a 2" strip or use it to cover your whole card.  It really makes your card say WOW!!!

Here are each of the 6x6 designer paper stacks listed by color collection:
  • Brights (item #146964)
  • Regals (item #146965)
  • Subtles (item #146966)
  • Neutrals (item #146967)
  • 2018-2020 in colors (item #146963)

Stamping with Friends

This past weekend I had the chance to stamp with some old friends, and some new friends.   The group of ladies shown above are all demonstrators living in Florida.  On Saturday, we had a chance to share ideas, create a few make & take projects and we even swapped cards with each other.  I think stamping with friends is always so much fun.

I was given the opportunity to create a make & take for the group.  This is the card I created for that project.  Each stamper had the choice to create their card in landscape or portrait.  I think they all really enjoyed this card idea.

Here's what I used to create this card:

  • Enjoy Life stamp set (item #148190)
  • Poppy Parade Ink (item #147050)
  • Granny Apple Green Ink (item #147095)
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock (item #119793)
  • whisper white cardstock (item #100730)
  • Basic Jewel Rhinestones (item #144220)
  • Layering Circle framelits (item #141705)
  • Layered Leaves embossing folder (item #143704)
  • Stampin Dimensionals (Item #104430)
  • Memento Black Ink

Here's how I created this card:

  • Cut Poppy Parade 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock in half creating a card base that measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Score at 4 1/4".  Burnish with bone folder.
  • Cut  a piece of whisper white to 4" x 5 1/4" and run through the Big Shot using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  Attach this piece to the front of the card base.
  • Cut a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock to 4" x 1 1/2".  Stamp the flower images across the bottom edge  of cardstock using Poppy Parade Ink.   Attach to card front as shown.
  • Stamp greeting onto a piece of whisper white cardstock using black memento ink.  Cut out with a laying circle.  Stamp the flower image over the greeting using Granny Apple Green ink.  Stamp this image to the left and right.  For the left and right images, I inked up the image then stamped it off onto a piece of scrap paper, then stamped over my greeting.  This gives it a lighter look
  • Cut a scalloped circle using the layering circle framelits and poppy parade cardstock.  Attach the white circle stamped piece onto the scalloped poppy piece and attach to the front of the card using dimensionals.
  • Attach rhinestones.
I hope that you have enjoyed this project using the new stamp set "Enjoy Life"  I will be featuring more cards using this set later this month.  If you need supplies to create this, or any other project, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my online store by clicking HERE

Please use hostess code ZREJ3GNB during the month of June and receive a FREE gift from me when you place an order of $50.00 or more.

New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

Out With the Old, In With the New

Stampin' Up! recently released a brand new Annual catalog and there is so much to share with you.  First of all, there is a color revamp.  Many of our colors have retired.  But don't worry, they have been replaced with a wide variety of fabulous new colors.  My all time favorite, Coastal Cabana, has returned, along with Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron.  And there are also 11 brand new colors that were added to the color groups for this catalog.  It's truly an exciting time in the stamping world.

Today I would like to share with you a card that features a new stamp set, new paper and a brand new ink color.  What do you think?  Do you like the dainty look of the laser cut paper?  Or the fresh look of the new lavender, Highland Heather?   The new purples are perfect!!!

The new Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper is beautiful, and I know we are going to be able to make so many great cards with it.  This specialty paper is white on one side and vanilla on the back side. Each 12x12 piece is filled with flowers that you can cut out individually or use on the front of a card, stencils that can be used for card fronts or as stencils to create designs on cardstock, and lastly, banners.  I know you're going to love it as much as I do.

Here's what I used to create this card:

  • Detailed With Love Stamp Set (item #146606)
  • Highland Heather Cardstock (item #146986)
  • Highland Heather Ink (item #147103)
  • Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut  Specialty Paper (item #146907)
  • Basic Pearl Jewels (item #144219)
  • Layering Oval framelits (item #141706)
  • fine tip glue pen (item #138309)
  • Assorted markers or stampin' blends markers for coloring flowers

Here's how I created the card:

  • Cut highland heather cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 4 1/4" and fold in half.
  • Cut out the stencil of your choice using a paper trimmer
  • Attach the stencil piece to the front of the card using the fine tip glue pen
  • Cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock to 1" x 3 1/2" and attach to the front of the card as shown
  • Stamp the image, using Highland Heather ink, from the Detailed With Love Stamp Set and cut out using the laying oval framelits.  Cut a coordinating scalloped oval with the highland heather cardstock
  • Attach the stamped image to the top of the scalloped piece and attach to the front of the card using dimensionals
  • Cut several flowers and leaves from the large sheet of flowers.  Color them with the markers or blends markers.  Attach the flowers to the front of the card as shown.  Attach one of the flowers using a dimensional.
  • Add basic pearl jewels to several of the flowers.
I hope you have enjoyed this project today.  If you need supplies for this, or any other project, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my store today by clicking here. Please use hostess code ZREJ3GNB at checkout for a FREE gift from me when you place an order of $50.00 or more during the month of June.

I hope you will stop back tomorrow to see the other projects I have been working on.
