It's a great time to be thankful

Every year, around fall and Thanksgiving, we are reminded to be thankful.  I try to wake every morning and remind myself of all that I am thankful and grateful for, but this time of year always makes me look deeper at all that I have.  I have a wonderful husband, 4 beautiful children, 3 furry cat friends,  good health, my very own small business, a house to live in, money to pay my bills, and friends.  I am very fortunate indeed. 

The one thing that I think about most is, how do I show those around me how thankful I am?  Do I do it enough?  Can I do more?  I think it's true that we could all always do more.  So today, I would like to take time to tell you that I am truly thankful for you.  I'm thankful that you have taken time to read my blog today.  And any other days that you have read it.  I appreciate you.  I don't ever want time to get away from me where I run out of time to say thank you. 

How will you show those around you that you are thankful for them?  Do you send cards? Make a phone call? Today I am showing you a very beautiful card that can be duplicated to send to your friends and family.  

NOTE:  The Painted Harvest stamp set is a two step process.  There are two flowers that you will ink and stamp using sweet sugarplum and berry burst ink, one directly on top of the other.  The leaves are also two step.  Both leaves are stamped using wild wasabi ink.  For best results when using photopolymer stamp sets, please stamp on top of the piercing mat for added stability.

 

 

 

Here's what I used to create this card:

• Berry burst cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
• whisper white cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
• whisper white cardstock cut at 3 1/2" x 1"
• berry burst ink, sweet sugarplum ink, soft suede ink and wild wasabi ink
• delicate doilies
• basic rhinestones
• whisper white bakers twine
• Painted Harvest stamp set (item #144783)

 

Here's how I created the card:

• fold the berry burst cardstock in half and use your bone folder to secure the fold
• place the largest flower stamp onto a clear block and ink up with sweet sugarplum ink.  Stamp as shown in the image above. 
• place the second layer of the flower onto a clear block and ink up with berry burst ink.  Stamp over the top of the sweet sugarplum images. 
• stamp the center of the flowers using soft suede ink
• stamp both parts of the leaves using wild wasabi ink
• stamp the sentiment using berry burst ink onto the 1" x 3 1/2" whisper white cardstock
• ink the largest flower and stamp random flowers onto the sentiment piece as shown
• tie a bow using the white bakers twine and attach to the greeting piece
• attach the greeting as shown
