Making Sunday Magical with Magical Mermaid from Stampin' Up!

I think Sunday's are magical, don't you?  There is finally a break from the long, stressful week to take a deep breath and spend time relaxing with family and friends.   Today my son and husband and I are going out to lunch, then running a few errands and stopping by the ocean to take in the magical ocean breeze.  The ocean always refreshes me and gives me new life.  It is powerful, yet so beautiful.  Who knows, maybe I'll even see a magical mermaid while I'm there.

I created this card for a 3 year old little girl who loves to craft with her mama.  Won't she be excited to receive her very own mail!!!!!

Wishing you a relaxing rest of your Sunday afternoon.  See you tomorrow.

What I used to create this card:

  • 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 bermuda bay card base
  • 4" x 5 1/4" lemon lime twist card front embossing with the Seaside Embossing folder (item #141481)
  • water color paper cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" watercolored with bermuda bay ink and lemon lime twist
  • lemon lime twist, bermuda bay and daffodil delight ink
  • 1 3/4" circle punch
  • NEW starburst punch (item #143717)
  • rhinestones
  • aquapainter
  • Magical Mermaid stamp set (item #144017)

How I created this card:

  • Emboss the 4" x 5 1/4" lemon lime twist using the Seaside Embossing folder
  • attach the embossed piece to the front of the card base
  • using the aqua painter, add bermuda bay and lemon lime twist ink to the 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of watercolor paper.
  • stamp sea grass onto watercolored paper (once it has dried) using bermuda bay ink
  • attach watercolored image to the front of the card as shown
  • stamp the mermaid using staz on ink and color using aqua painter and bermuda bay, lemon lime twist and daffodil delight inks
  • cut around mermaid image using paper snips and attach to the front of the card using Tombo glue
  • attach rhinestones as shown in image above
  • punch a starburst using bermuda bay cardstock
  • stamp your favorite greeting from this set using bermuda bay ink and punch out using the 1 3/4" punch.  attach to the Bermuda bay starburst piece and attach to the card front.
