This little piggy is going to bring someone cheer....
Today's post involves the three little pigs. As I posted the other day, I just love how whimsical this set is. You can use this stamp set for so many occasions (non serious ones, of course). You can send hog and kisses to someone, encouragement, thank you, love you, or you can simply tell someone how happy they make you. Each month I mail out Random Acts of Kindness, or simply called RAK's. They are cards to random people who are not expecting them. This month I think I will use this set to send cheer through the mail. I hope they will enjoy this set as much as I do.
What I used to create this card:
- early espresso cardstock cut to 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" (3 pieces)
- shimmer white cardstock cut to 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" (3 pieces)
- crumb cake card base cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- crumb cake cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
- 1/2" x 1 3/4" shimmer white
- ink colors: real red, crumb cake, black, powder pink, daffodil delight
- pinewood planks embossing folder (item #143708)
- Classic weave ribbon - white (item #144159)
- This little Piggy stamp set, clear (item #143922)
- aqua painter
How I created this card
- ink up the pinewood planks embossing folder by opening your ink pad and applying ink going in one direction
- after the embossing folder is inked up (doesn't need to be totally inked, just random), put the 4" x 5 1/4" paper into the folder and run through the big shot **** (please see note below)
- rinse the embossing folder with warm water and the ink will come right off
- stamp the 3 pigs of your choice using stazon ink onto the 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" white cardstock
- using your aqua painter, color the 3 pigs using powder pink and daffodil delight ink
- attach the 3 stamped images to the 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" early espresso pieces then attach to the front of the card as shown
- place ribbon onto the front of the card as shown and secure BEFORE attaching to the card base
- attach to card base
- stamp greeting onto the 1/2" x 1 3/4" white cardstock and cut a banner on either end
- attach greeting using dimensionals
****Please note that the embossing folder used is one of Stampin' Up!'s new dynamic textured embossing folders. You will only need to use one of the clear cutting boards when running your bolder through the Big Shot.
I hope you have enjoyed another sample using the stamp set "This Little Piggy". If you would like to order supplies for this, or any other project you may be doing, I would love to be your demonstrator. Please visit my Stampin' Up! store.
Happy Stamping,
Debbie
