Today is the final day to order Colorful Seasons

Today is the final day to order the limited time Color Your Season stamp set and coordinating framelits and a brand new set of watercolor pencils.  After August 31st, these products will no longer be available.  Click here to order now

The Color your Season bundle consists of a stamp set, Blended Seasons (item #149016) and a set of framelits called Stitched Seasons (item #149013).  When you purchase these two items together, Stampin' Up! will give you a 10% discount.  (item #149894), however, you can order them individually as well with the item numbers above.

Check out this bundle. There's a sentiment for everything.  The flowers and leaves are absolutely beautiful.  And the framelits match perfectly.  The stitched framelits (the set of  three over on the left) are stitched so that when you cut them out on your Big Shot, they leave a stitched edge on the outside piece AND the inside piece.  Imagine only needing to do one cut and you get two great pieces to create beautiful cards with.  Here are a few samples that were created by Stampin' Up! Home office.

And don't forget about the Watercolor Pencil Assortment 2 (item #149014) ,  with brand new colors including:

  • Night of Navy
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Balmy Blue
  • Cajun Craze
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Crushed Curry
  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Garden Green
  • Gorgeous Grape

These items are only available until August 31, 2018.

A Special Stampin' Up! Challenge

Happy Monday Stampers!!!  Today is an extra special Monday because I am coming to you with a few projects that I am submitting directly to Stampin' Up! to be considered for a very special honor at OnStage this fall.

But first, I would like to interrupt that thought for just one moment and say a very special Happy Birthday to my favorite second daughter, Haleigh Mason.   She is turning 25 years old today and I can hardly believe it. Where does the time go?  Hal, or Hal the Gal as we affectionally call her, is my card making buddy.  She was also a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! until recently when her duties as a bakery owner took over.  She is co owner of a bakery in Lansing, Michigan called Bake n' Cakes. I am so proud of her for all that she has become.  Happy Happy Birthday Hal My Gal.

Onto the Stampin' Up! Challenge.  This fall, Stampin' Up! will celebrate their 30 year anniversary.  How amazing is that?  They are celebrating with an event called OnStage in Orlando, Florida, and I will be there with lot of my stamping friends and teammates.  We will see new product, stamp with our friends, make new friends and mostly HAVE FUN!!! Along with new product, there are always LOTS of display boards demonstrating how to use the new product,  made by demonstrators, just like me.  And this year, I have applied to create a display board as inspiration for my fellow demonstrators.   Here are the projects I will be submitting to Stampin' Up!  Wish me luck!!!

This treat box holds a package of fun Animal Crackers.   I used Shaded Spruce cardstock, along with Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper and the Animal Outing stamp set.  Did you notice the cute In Color Binder Clips in Call Me Clover?

I love the color combination of this card I created for my grandma's 98th Birthday this year.  This card features three new colors added to our color palette this year, including Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green.  I used the  Abstract Impressions stamp set to create the flowers and sentiment.

Are you ready to start creating Christmas?  I know I am.  This gorgeous box was created using the Silver Mini Gable boxes,  Pretty Pines Thinlit Dies and the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.  I can't wait to put some treats inside and give it away.

The beauty of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper takes my breath away.  I paired the designer paper with the Wonderful Moments stamp set to create this beautiful bridal card.  This stamp set is awesome for honoring every celebration of women.

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year.  Our family enjoys carving pumpkins, going to the cider mill and decorating our yard for the trick-or-treaters.  This 12 x 12 scrapbook layout was created using the upcoming Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, Cauldron Framelits Dies,  Cauldron Bubble Stamp Set and the Large Letters Framelits Dies.  You're going to LOVE all of these new products.

This card has so much texture and color and it makes me smile.   I used the Healing Hugs stamp set, Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies and the Layered Leaves dynamic textured impressions embossing folder.   I stamped the flowers using crushed curry ink and added extra color using a sponge dauber and pumpkin pie and poppy parade ink.  I added a few Metallic Sequins for a little more sparkle.

Here are the products I used to create the projects:

  • Metallics Sequin Assortment (item #144214)
  • Happy Birthday Thinlits Die (item #143700)
  • Healing Hugs stamp set (item #146530)
  • Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (item #146913)
  • Wonderful Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set (item #147529)
  • Silver Mini Gable Boxes (item #145568)
  • Pretty Pines Framelits (item #141851)
  • Animal Outing Stamp Set (item #148324)

Stampin' Up! One Sheet Wonder featuring Animal Expedition Designer Paper

#StopHoardingYourDesignerPaper

Stampers!  We have talked about this in the past.  Are you a hoarder of designer paper?  Do you buy it because it is so pretty, but then you can't bear to cut into it?  If we were raising our hands to answer yes to that question, my hand would be right up there with you all.  I always think I will save it for a special occasion, but really, isn't every single day a special occasion?  Get that paper out!!!!! Let's cut it up and make some beautiful cards to mail out.

This is the design I chose to use

I used this paper last week for my Facebook Live Event.  Do you recognize it?   See all of those cute giraffe and rhinos?  Check it out here:  Animal Outing Facebook Live

Today's project uses one piece of the Animal Expedition 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (referred to as DSP) cut into 11 different pieces.  You will also need some coordinating cardstock for card bases and a stamp set.  I used the One For All Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I will not be giving dimensions for all 11 of the cards, but I will show you which designer paper pieces I used to create the cards and the sizes for each card.

Let's start with the layout.  I used one piece of 12x12 paper cut as shown below.  There will be just a few scraps leftover.  I bet you might even be able to create one extra card with them if you're really creative.

Here are the card layouts, the card base colors and the size designer paper I used:
Top Card (pool party base 3 1/2" x 4" dsp)
Lower left card (calypso coral card base, 3 1/2" x 5" dsp cut at a diagonal)
Right  Card (Call Me Clover card base, 4" x 5 1/4" dsp)

Upper Left card (lemon lime twist card base, 2" x 5 1/4" dsp)
Upper Right (Lemon Lime Twist card base, 4" x 5 1/4" dsp, fold down 1 1/4" to create area for card pullout.  Card pullout measures 3" x 4 1/2"
Lower card (call me clover card base, 3 1/2" x 3" dsp)

Upper Left Card (Call me Clover card base, 4" x 1 1/2" dsp)
Upper Right Card (Granny Apple green card base, 2" x 5 1/4" dsp)
Lower Right card (whisper white card base, cut 1" off front right edge, 1" x 5 1/2" dsp)

Left Card (whisper white card base, 1 1/2" x 4" dsp)
Right Card (Berry Burst Card base, 2 1/2 x 5 1/2" dsp)

Here are a few of the products I used to create these cards:

  • One For All Clear Mount Stamp Set Item ( #146655)
  • Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (item #146902)
  • Call Me Clover cardstock (item #146969)
  • Berry Burst cardstock (item #144243)
  • Whisper White cardstock (item #100730)
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (item #144245)
  • Calypso Coral cardstock (item #122925)
  • Berry Burst Mini Ruffled Ribbon (item #146944)
  • Granny Apple Green cardstock (item #146990)

  • Leaf Ribbon (item #146905)
  • Layering Oval Framelits Dies (item #141706)
  • Layering Circle Framelit Dies (item #141705)

I hope that these layouts will encourage you to get out your paper, make some cuts and mail those cards.

If you need supplies for crafting, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my store by clicking here.  Please be sure to use the August Hostess code PNP74JBW at checkout.
