It's time To Celebrate

The Fourth of July is just around the corner.  Do you celebrate Independence Day?  If so, how do you celebrate?  Our family usually has a cookout and we play washer toss outside and we may even have a water balloon fight.  It's usually a fun filled family day.

Many years ago we were in California for the Fourth of July and our friends invited us to their home to celebrate.  Their town did a great parade and kids decorated their bikes and people went all out to decorate their houses.  It was a great time and I long to live in a small town like that.  But for now, I will do my part to decorate my yard and celebrate with my family.

I wanted to make a few red, white and blue treats for our celebration.  I was surprised that I didn't find more than M&M's, skittles,  Twix bars and Little Debbie Snack cakes that were decorated in red, white and blue.  So I bought all of them.

Have I told you before how much I love the color combination of red, white and blue.  I don't know if it's just that it is a patriotic combination, or if those colors just call to me.  Either way, I love creating with these colors.

I started off with clear cellophane bags. (the size that fits a pretzel)  Mine are retired from Stampin' Up!, but you can find them at most hobby stores.   I filled each bag with red, white and blue Skittles, then sealed the top.   I used the Everyday Label Punch and Pacific Point cardstock to cut a piece to use for the tag.  I used the Classic Label Punch for the greeting.   I used the stars in the stamp set "You Always Deliver"  and stamped real red stars randomly over the Pacific Point tag.  I stamped the word "Celebrate" from the New Wonders Host set in Pacific Point, then stamped real red stars to the left and right of the greeting.

I folded the Pacific Point Everyday Label punched piece in half and used a mini stapler to staple to the top of the treat bag.  I wanted to create a firecracker look, so I used silver metallic paper shred cut into small pieces.  I used a small piece of tear & tape over the staple and attached about 10 pieces of the shred to create the firecracker.  I cut a dimensional in half and added it to the back of the "Celebrate" greeting and then attached it over the top of the firecracker pieces.

This one only has 6 firecrackers.  I ended up added more to get more BANG!!!

And now my treats are all ready to give away at my Independence Day Celebration. I can't wait to share them.

If you have created red, white and blue treats too, come on over to my Facebook page and share what you have created.  We would love for you to share. Join me over on Facebook

If you need crafting supplies, I would love to be your demonstrator.  Please visit my online store, 24 hours a day, by clicking HERE

Winning with Over the Moon

If you missed my post yesterday, you're going to want to check it out because it featured three fun cow cards from the brand new stamp set, Over the Moon, from Stampin' Up!    There's even a video tutorial.

Today I am sharing another card created with that set.  And this card is a WINNER!!!  WooHoo!!!  Let me explain.  Each month my upline for Stampin' Up! holds a team gathering and we create cards to swap with each other.  There can be up to 15 people swapping, so we all get really great ideas to share.  That's where the winner part comes in.  Everyone at the meeting votes on their favorite card, and my card won this month.  I was so excited!!!! And I even won a prize for my creation.    I will share the other swap contenders at a later time.

Here's my creation:

What do you think?  Do you love cows as much as I do?  I just can't stop creating with them.  You will definitely see them again in my creating.

Here's how I created this card:
  • Whisper white card base cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • 3" x 5 1/4" crumb cake embossed with the Pinewood Planks Embossing folder.  Apply soft suded ink to the embossing folder before adding the paper and putting through the big shot
  • Cut embossed pieces to 1" x 5 1/4" and add to the front of the card as shown
  • Using the stitched Nested Labels dies, cut the largest die using Soft Suede cardstock, and the next to largest using Whisper White.
  • stamp the 2 cow images onto the white die cut and color with stampin blends markers (I used light crumb cake, light soft suede, light mango melody, black, light petal pink, light flirty flamingo and light smoky slate)
  • Attach the soft suede and whisper white pieces together (stagger them a bit), then attach to the front of the card using dimensionals
  • Punch 2 leaves using the leaf punch and granny apple green. Attach to the card front using Tombo multipurpose adhesive
  • Using the Magnolia Memory dies, cut 2 flowers using Mango Melody cardstock.  Attach using Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive
  • Tie a bow using Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon and attach using a glue dot
Stampin' Up! product I used to create this project:
  • Pineapple Punch Grosgrain ribbon (item #146953)

More coffee projects created with Coffee Cafe

Item #143677

Item #143745

This week I am featuring the stamp set Coffee Cafe and coordinating framliets, Coffee Cups.  Soon, this stamp set and framelits will be retiring and I wanted to give  you one last chance to see all of the wonderful projects you can create with it.

The treats I created for today's post can be given  as teacher appreciation gifts, to service providers, friends and co workers.  I like how simple they are to create, but they definitely show that I care about the person I am giving them to.

For this project, I purchased some of my favorite iced coffee drinks.

Here's how I created this project:

  1.  Stamp the coffee cup onto whisper white cardstock, and cut out using the coffee cup framelits, then I colored the cup using my stampin' blends markers.  I used light and dark crumb cake and dark soft suede markers.
  2. cut a piece of crumb cake cardstock to 2" x 4 1/4" to create a tag, and punched the top using the Scalloped Tag Topper (item #1133324)
  3. Stamp random coffee beans onto the tag using soft suede ink
  4. Adhere the coffee cup to the front of the tag
  5. Stamp the whipped topping onto whisper white cardstock using smoky slate ink.  Attach this piece to the top of the coffee cup on the front of the tag.
  6. Cut the cardboard sleeve using Early Espresso cardstock and adhere to the front of the cup.
  7. Stamp the "thanks a latte" image onto whisper white cardstock and cut using the oval framelit.  Attach this piece to the front of the cardboard sleeve.
  8. Tie a box using the linen thread and attach to the coffee cup as shown.
  9. Use a piece of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon (item #146912) to tie the tag to the front of the coffee drink as shown.

For this project, I used a Lindt chocolate bar that I found at my local Target store.

Here's How I created this project:

  1. Cut a piece of crumb cake cardstock to 2" x 3".  Score on the 3" side at 1 1/2".  Fold in half and burnish.
  2. Cut the various coffee cup pieces and set aside.
  3. Put the chocolate bar into a 2" x 8" cellophane bag (item #141703)
  4. Using a small stapler, staple the crumb cake card piece over the edge of the cello bag to create a tag topper.
  5. Attach the coffee cup piece to the front of the tag using dimensionals.
Don't forget that this stamp set and framelits will be retiring when the new catalog goes live on June 4th, 2019.  If you would like to purchase this set, please visit my online store today.  You can visit my store by clicking below.

Join me for coffee?

Happy Happy Wednesday to you.  Today's Facebook Live is all about Coffee.  Are you a coffee drinker?  I didn't use to be.  I have always loved the smell of coffee, but the taste was way too bitter.  Then, one day I was introduced to Speedway make your own flavor coffee.  Do you have a speedway gas station near you?  You really must try it.  I'm not sure how, but I ended up with 1/2 caramel latte and 1/2 vanilla cappuccino.  I could have the technical names mixed up.  Either way, it's 1/2 caramel and 1/2 vanilla.  Now, if this drink were ever broken down by scientists, I'm pretty sure there is very little coffee even in this drink, so probably I am really drinking just flavored creamer.  And I'm ok with that.  It's delicious.

Well, so all of that brings us to Wednesday's Facebook Live.  Which, by the way I am live every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. over on my Facebook Page.  I would love for you to follow me on my page.  You can do that by clicking here:  Stamp It With Debbie Facebook Page.  Don't forget to click on the FOLLOW button so you never miss a post.

If you missed today's live, here's a replay for you to watch. Just click on the image below.   It's all about coffee.  And today I'm giving you just a few ways to use this set, but there are so many.  I'll have a few more ideas to share with you later in the week.

But the good news is, if you NEED this stamp set, and I know you do, you can still get it.  Hop on over to my online store and place your order today. A Scrapbook layout and one more card featuring Beach Happy

This week I am sharing a few projects made with the Beach Happy stamp set, and I thought I would share something that I don't normally share.  A Scrapbook layout.  The image above is another card that I designed using the Beach Happy stamp set, Seaside embossing folder and my favorite, Coastal Cabana cardstock.  Doesn't this card just make you feel so relaxed and happy?
This week I wanted to share a scrapbook layout with you.  I haven't done scrapbooking in a long time, but now that I am home from Florida, I'm trying to get reorganized and get my photos all caught up and into albums.  Oh, yes, and I have that new grandbaby that I need to stay caught up on too with her album.

I started with a 12" x 12" piece of whisper white cardstock.  I made my Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana pieces (shown below) 3" wide, so I drew my lines on the 12" x 12" piece at 3/4", 4 1/2",         8 1/4" and 11 1/4",.  This left 3/4 of an inch in between each of the pieces.

I cut the Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana pieces at 3" x 5 1/2" each.  I cut 4 pieces of Bermuda Bay and 2 pieces of Coastal Cabana. Once these pieces are attached, use an eraser to remove the pencil lines.

I cut 3 pieces of whisper white to mount my pictures on .  The pieces of white are 3" x 5", and two pieces at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2".  I used the largest layering scalloped square to cut a frame for one of the 2 1/2" pieces using Poppy Parade cardstock.  I cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" to layer under the 3" x 5" piece of whisper white.

I used the Large Letter framelits to cut the word BEACH using coastal cabana cardstock, then attached them using tombow liquid adhesive.

I used the stamp set Swirly Bird  and Beach Happy to stamp images onto the layout.

Ink colors used are Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede and Sahara Sand.

Facebook Live Featuring Beach Happy

During the month of May, I will be featuring Stampin' Up! product that will be retiring when the new catalog comes out on June 3rd.  There are so many great sets that will be retiring, and I don't want you to miss out if there's something that you love, but you missed when looking through the catalog.  That does happen, believe it or not.  As I was marking up my catalog to know which products were retiring, I found a set that I love that I didn't even know we had. Needless to say, that set is now on my wish list.

This week during Facebook Live, I featured the stamp set Beach Happy.  It has been rainy and dreary here in Michigan, so I was more than happy to create with a stamp set that reminded me that summer days are just around the corner.

Did you know that every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m, over on my Facebook Page, I do a live demonstration of current product?  If you would like to join us, click here now and then click on the follow button so you will receive a reminder notice and future notifications.  Stamp It With Debbie Facebook

If you missed the live video, you can click here now to watch the replay:  (just click on the picture below)
